POSITION OVERVIEW

The Festival Technical Support Assistant, Account Creation is charged with supporting the Tech Services team in user account creation for Sundance Institute employees leading up to the annual Sundance Film Festival.

Working closely under the Manager, Help Desk, and closely with the Junior Systems Admin, this role supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to discovering, supporting, and inspiring independent film and media artists from the United States and around the world, and to introduce audiences to their new work.

This temporary position works part-time (20-30 hours per week) from Wednesday, September 4, 2024 through Friday, February 7, 2025. This role may work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends following a period of training within standard business hours. This is a fully remote position that does not require any onsite work duties.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Creating new users in Active Directory to meet hiring deadlines and internal service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Administering access to files, Google Drive, Team Drive, and other resources using file/folder permissions and Active Directory security group memberships.

  • Creating and maintaining reactivation of end-user Slack, Google G Suite Apps, and Zoom accounts.

  • Working within the Help Desk ticketing system to transition account creation tickets to Help Desk for device provisioning once the account has been made.

  • Tracking and organizing software inventory as each user is created and ensuring all procedures are adhered to.

  • Assisting in sending out technology-based communications to new employees before their start dates.

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user profile administration.

  • A strong knowledge of Google G Suite Apps for business, including Gmail, Groups, and Drives.

  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

  • Experience with Help Desk issue tracking software preferred.
